The ninth season of ‘American Horror Story’ premieres Sept. 16 on FX. This season is titled ‘AHS: 1984’ and its a throwback to the slasher films of the 1980s. In the summer of 1984, five friends escape Los Angeles to work as counselors at Camp Redwood. As they adjust to their new jobs, they quickly learn that the only thing scarier than campfire tales is the past coming to haunt you. Emma Roberts will play Brooke Thompson in season 9. Other ‘AHS’ faves returning for this season include Billie Lourd, John Carroll Lynch, and Leslie Grossman. Olympian Gus Kenworthy has joined the cast as well, alongside Matthew Morrison, DeRon Horton, and Zach Villa. ‘AHS’ vets Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson will not be returning this season.
