Talk about two music legends coming together! Taylor Swift and Cyndi Lauper are seen chatting on the pink carpet for Billboard’s Women in Music event at the Hollywood Palladium on Dec. 12, 2019. The two women slayed in their pink carpet looks, as Taylor rocked a black jumper with an aysmmetrical cut and gold chain detail. She sported her signature red lip, but changed up her usual blowout for a high ponytail braid! Cyndi looked every bit the rock legend with her bright yellow hair, low cut leather dress and elegant red kimono.
Hosted by Hayley Kiyoko, the annual event honors women in various roles in the music industry, highlighting their efforts as artists, producers, writers and more. This year was particularly special for Taylor Swift, who was named the Woman of the Decade by the prestigious publication. The 29-year-old accepted the award just a day before turning 30, and began her career with a country album in 2006. Since, she’s had a whopping five albums take the #1 spot on the Billboard charts, along with five number one singles. Her ‘Reputation’ tour also broke a record to become the highest selling concert tour in American history — incredible.
