The NBA Finals are a best of seven series between the conference champions in the east and west. The Toronto Raptors (east) and Golden State Warriors (west) will battle in the 2019 NBA Finals to in hopes of taking on the Larry O’Brien championship trophy for their respective franchise. The Warriors, who are no strangers to playing on the NBA’s biggest stage, will enter their 5th straight Finals appearance. Meanwhile, this marks the first Finals appearance for the Raptors, ever. Kawhi Leonard led Toronto to its first-ever NBA Finals, after helping secure the Raptors its first Conference Championship. Leonard, along with the longest-running Raptor, Kyle Lowry. On the other hand, the Warriors have a chance to make history if they win the 2019 Finals. They have the chance to 3-peat after winning the last two championships. The Warriors are one of only two teams in NBA history to have played for the championship five consecutive seasons. The Boston Celtics are the other team, having appeared in the Finals 10 straight seasons from 1957-66.
