2019 has been an incredible year for so many celebrities — many of whom are still in their teens and 20s! Yup, these stars have not even hit the big 3-0 yet, and they’re some of the most successful and hottest people on the planet. Whether they starred in the biggest movies of the year, put out albums that we’ll be singing for months to come, made big comebacks, launched new businesses and brands, or whatever else, these young stars have most definitely come to play. Considering many of these celebs have been around for several years already, we can only imagine that they’ll be continuing their incredible success into 2020. Billie Eilish
What a year it’s been for Billie Eilish! It was the singer’s breakout year, as she released her debut album in March. Her single, ‘Bad Guy,’ hit no.1 on the charts, and she won BIG at the American Music Awards. Oh, and she was also nominated for six Grammys — NO BIG DEAL.
Storm Reid
Storm Reid starred in one of the biggest and most buzzed-about shows of 2019, ‘Euphoria.’ She received rave reviews for her work in the HBO series.
Hannah Brown
Hannah Brown started 2019 by getting her heartbroken on ‘The Bachelor,’ but she bounced back and was named the star of ‘The Bachelorette’ in the spring. Hannah took no BS on the show, and proved that she was a strong and fierce woman. After another heartbreak (her engagement to Jed Wyatt didn’t work out), Hannah competed on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ and ended the year on a high note by winning the show!
Emma Watson
Emma Watson has been slaying it since she was just a teenager, and for her last year under 30…it’s been no different. Emma has had a fairly quiet year, but with a buzzed-about starring role in the upcoming film, ‘Little Women,’ we couldn’t not include her on our ‘Under 30’ list one last time!
Hailee Steinfeld
Hailee Steinfeld is a double threat when it comes to acting and singing, and in 2019, acting was at the forefront! She starred in one of Apple TV’s first series, ‘Dickinson,’ and received rave reviews for her role as Emily Dickinson. Plus, she also made an appearance in the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ movie!
Travis Scott
What a year it’s been for Travis Scott! The rapper has been helping to raise his adorable daughter, Stormi Webster, while touring to promote his 2018 record, ‘Astroworld.’ He also had a Netflix documentary debut in August. Plus, being in a relationship with Kylie Jenner (they split in October) definitely hasn’t hurt his A-list status!
Ariel Winter
2019 marked the beginning of the final season of ‘Modern Family.’ Considering we’ve seen Ariel Winter grow up on that show, this is a huge milestone! In 2019, Ariel has been a champion for body positivity, and she proved that she’s a fierce, independent woman after splitting from her longtime boyfriend.
Jordan Fisher
Jordan Fisher is just getting started! He had a starring role in ‘Rent: Live’ this year, and his perfomance was highly acclaimed. Plus, it was announced that he’ll be heading to Broadway to play Evan Hansen in ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ in 2020, so next year will be even bigger and better.
Hailey Baldwin
Hailey Baldwin has stayed relatively low-key on the modeling front this year, but her relationship with Justin Bieber has kept her in the spotlight. The two celebrated their marriage with a massive wedding in September, and it was all anyone could talk about for weeks!
Justin Bieber
Like Hailey, Justin Bieber decided to focus on his personal relationships, as opposed to putting out new music this year. However, he’s definitely been in the studio cooking something up — because he’s already promised a new album in 2020!
Maren Morris
Maren Morris released her second album, ‘GIRL’, in March 2019, and it’s all been uphill from there. She took home Album of the Year at the CMA Awards, and embarked on a tour that had country music fans buzzing. Oh, and she announced that she’s pregnant with her first child!
Kelsea Ballerini
Kelsea Ballerini kicked off 2019 with a major headlining tour. Over the summer, she took a break from touring to work on her third album, and she released the first two singles in the fall. They’ve received rave reviews, and Kelsea is gearing up to drop the full record in 2020. Kelsea made a number of award show appearances this year, and totally upped her style game, too!
Lauren Alaina
Things didn’t start out so great for Lauren Alaina in 2019, as she ended her engagement after just six months. However, she bounced back with a killer new song, ‘Getting Good,’ as well as an appearance on ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ where she finished in fourth place.
Sophie Turner
The spring of 2019 was Sophie Turner’s MOMENT! Not only was she one of the stars of the final season of ‘Game of Thrones,’ but her movie, ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix,’ also came out. Plus, her relationship with Joe Jonas was EVERYWHERE, as they eloped in Vegas in May, then celebrated with a massive European wedding in June.
Nick Jonas
Nick Jonas wrapped 2018 by marrying Priyanka Chopra, and 2019 was just as exciting! He and his brothers reunited as the Jonas Brothers in February, and followed it up with a buzzed-about album and tour. The guys have been super busy all year long, and the tour continues in 2020.
Maisie Williams
Maisie Williams slayed us ALL as Arya Stark on ‘Game of Thrones,’ and her character had one of the most epic endings on the entire show. We can’t wait to see what’s next for her!

Halsey has continued releasing new music in 2019, in anticipation of her Jan. 2020 album, ‘Manic.’ She’s performed at a number of award shows throughout the year, and has been outspoken about a number of things that she is passionate about, too. Plus, she started a hot new romance with Evan Peters!

Harry Styles was very quiet for the first half of 2019, but in the fall, he was back with new music! His hosting stint on ‘SNL’ was one of the most buzzed-about of the year, and he released his second solo album, ‘Fine Line,’ in December.
Timothee Chalamet
Since his breakout role in ‘Call Me By Your Name,’ Timothee Chalamet has continued his success into 2018 and 2019. This year, he starred in ‘The King,’ as well as ‘Little Women.’
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande kicked off 2019 by releasing her album, ‘Thank U, Next,’ which was the second album she released in just a six month span. She spent most of the rest of the year touring for her fans all over the world, while staying active on social media the entire time.
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus began 2019 as a newlywed to Liam Hemsworth, and she started putting out some new music in the beginning months of the year. By August, though, she was making headlines for her split from the Australian actor — and her majorly quick rebounds! She moved on with Kaitlynn Carter, and they had a hot-and-heavy six week romance. Shortly after the September breakup, Miley started dating Cody Simpson, and their relationship has gotten serious REALLY fast!

Amidst the hype surrounding Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin’s relationship in 2018, Selena took a step back from the spotlight for the end of last year and beginning of this year. However, she made her huge comeback in the fall of 2019 with the release of her powerful new songs, ‘Lose You to Love Me’ and ‘Look At Me Now,’ which she performed at the American Music Awards. Selena has found her place as an independent woman, and is gearing up to release a massive album at the beginning of 2020.
Shawn Mendes
Shawn Mendes has spent a lot of 2019 touring, but he’s also been making headlines for his romance with Camila Cabello. Fans have been wanting these two together FOREVER, and they finally made our wishes come true. Plus, their song, ‘Senorita,’ blew up the charts this year.

In addition to her relationship with Shawn, Camila Cabello had a big year musically. She started dropping new songs over the summer and through the fall, and then put out her second solo album, ‘Romance,’ in December. She’ll be going on a massive tour to promote the album in 2020.

Millie Bobby Brown is growing up right in front of our eyes, and this year she proved that she’s a major beauty and style icon, as well as a gifted actor. She made her film debut in ‘Godzilla’ this year, and starred in the highly-anticipated third season of ‘Stranger Things’ over the summer.

Bella Hadid continued her reign as one of the hottest models in the world during 2019. She walked runways in New York, Paris, Milan and more. She remained a trendsetter this year, too!
