Andrew Polec
Andrew Polec, star of ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ on Broadway, visited HollywoodLife.com to promote the limited-time Broadway show run. In the Jim Steinman/Meatloaf musical, Andrew plays Strat, the 18-year-old leader of a group of teens whose DNA is frozen to keep them young forever. The show’s music samples Meatloaf’s trilogy of albums, Bat Out of Hell, Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell, and Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster is Loose. Andrew first auditioned for the role in 2015, following a failed audition for Spongebob Squarepants, and officially got the role which he workshopped in NYC the same year. The show premiered in Manchester in 2017 before going to London’s West End, Toronto, on a North American Tour, a West End revival, Oberhausen and now in NYC on Broadway.

Jim Steinman’s musical has been in the making for 40+ years, as he wanted to tell a story called Neverland, but he didn’t get approval from the estate of JM Barrie, the writer of Peter Pan to spin-off the original story.
