On Thursday night, June 16, Stephen A. Smith compared the way Ayesha behaved earlier that evening to the way LeBron James‘ wife, Savannah Brinson, has behaved over the course of his career. “[Savannah]’s wonderful inside and out. She sits there, she doesn’t bring any attention to herself. She never tweets and goes out there and calls out the league and stuff like that. And nobody, nobody, is more scrutinized than her husband,” he said.
Well, Ayesha didn’t like what Stephen had to say. So she took to Twitter and said the following: “@stephenasmith why are you putting two women against each other like that? You’re the one that’s out of pocket.”
Smith then took another shot at Ayesha on Friday, June 17, when he told her to stay in her own lane. “I’m just saying to you, you need to watch yourself because it might put your husband in a compromising position that I’m sure you don’t want. And Savannah James, who’s been around, who has a husband who’s universally recognized as one of the greatest players in the world, has been around for quite a long time. And she appears to know that. It’s not about comparing her or anything — it’s giving you an example of what may work,” Stephen said on EPSN. Watch the video below.
