Carl Reiner
Carl Reiner is an actor and comedian who is best known for creating ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show.’ The show aired from 1961 until 1966, and Carl served as a writer and director on the series. Additionally, he had a guest role on the show, where he played Alan Brady. Throughout this career, Carl won nine Emmy Awards and one Grammy Award. He had a comedy duo with Mel Brooks, which was formed in the 1950s, and Carl’s Grammy was won for Best Comedy Album for one of his pieces with Mel (they released five albums in total as a duo). Carl was married to his wife, Estelle, for 64 years before she died in 2008. Together, they had three children (Rob, Annie and Lucas), as well as six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
