Chris, 51, sparked this engagement talk after taking an Instagram picture with his new girlfriend, CSI: Miami actress Megalyn, 33, on Aug. 22, per Page Six. While the smile on his face was bright, all eyes were looking at the ring on Megalyn’s hand, which was thrust right in the foreground!

It was hard to think that these two were engaged, especially with the Instagram caption. “Last night we celebrated new beginnings,” a friend of the couple wrote. “How much do I adore these two? #lovewins.” New beginnings? The picture was reportedly taken a day before Chris and Malaak Compton-Rock, 47, reached a divorce settlement on Aug. 23, finally ending their 20 year marriage, per Page Six. Megalyn seemed to throw some shade at Malaak, reportedly dropping a “Bye, Felicia” in the post’s comments.

Well, Chris’s fans start should wait before they start buying him and Megalyn wedding presents, as Chris’s rep tells Page Six that they’re not getting married. “It’s 100 percent not true. Chris Rock is not engaged,” the rep says, saying that the bling on her finger is a ring that “she always wears.”
Perhaps Chris is just happy that his marriage is finally over. The couple split in 2014, after spending two decades and having two children – daughters Lola Simone, 14, and Zahra Savannah, 12 – together. What followed was nearly two years of a reportedly bitter divorce battle. Perhaps, instead of smiling over a supposed engagement, Chris was just happy that he’ could put that part of his life behind him now?
