Kyle Chrisley Wanted By Police
If you’re a fan of the reality series Chrisley Knows Best, then you will be shocked by this news.
Todd’s eldest son, Kyle, has reportedly been on the run from South Carolina police for over a year.
News broke about Kyle’s arrest warrants and alleged domestic violence history on May 1 when the Anderson County Police Department took their search to Facebook, asking for the public’s help in tracking down the occasional Chrisley Knows Best guest star.
Here is part of what the police wrote on Facebook, along with an old mugshot of Kyle:
On February 24, 2013, Chrisley struck his common law spouse, Angela Victoria Johnson, and threatened Johnson’s sister with a knife. According to the incident report, the altercation began when Johnson confronted Chrisley about his habit of staying out all night and not returning home until late in the morning.
Druanna White of White, Davis & White Law Firm told HollywoodLife.com that Kyle’s father plans to stand behind him, despite what the police are claiming.
“Todd Chrisley is standing by his son and expects all charges will be dropped and his son will be exonerated.” the attorney told HollywoodLife.com in a statement.
“We look forward to repudiating these accusations as the facts will show that Kyle has done absolutely nothing wrong. The charges are misdemeanors being sensationalized by the opposing party in an attempt to capitalize on the family’s heightened personal and professional successes as depicted in their hit TV show. Any allegations that Kyle is running from the charges are contemptible as until this week he was unaware that a warrant had been issued. He will be turning himself in to law enforcement for the misdemeanor as to return to his family as quickly as possible.”
Kyle & Angela Have A Rocky Past
In October 2013, both Kyle and Angela were involved in a paternity case over their daughter, Chloe, now 1.
During the hearing, both parties were issued temporary restraining orders against each other. Kyle also agreed to pay child support, which Radar Online speculated was in exchange for Angela agreeing to allow Chloe to appear on Chrisley Knows Best.
Although Kyle and Chloe make the occasional appearance on the show, Angela was never featured.
On the April 22 season finale of the series, the entire Chrisley family gathered to celebrate Chloe’s first birthday.
