Come on- who doesn’t love Disney? From Mickey Mouse to Monsters Inc., the Walt Disney Corporation is undoubtedly the most famous company in the world, and it even has it’s own fan club! D23 (the “D” stands for Disney, and the “23” stands for 1923 when Walt Disney founded the company), is the official fan club for all Disney lovers, and began hosting an expo in 2009, and then annually from there. The expo is held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, and in Japan as well at the Tokyo Disney Resort.
The 2015 D23 expo was one for the books, especially thanks to actor Johnny Depp who made a special appearance at the Anaheim Convention Center. He graciously thanked his fans and accepted the Disney Legend honor, due to his incredible role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean movie series, as well as his performance in Alice in Wonderland as the Mad Hatter. A sing-a-long Elsa from Disney’s Frozen was all the rage at the 2015 expo. She inspiring Disney character makes her first public singing debut, in the form of a doll that featured a trigger-technology microphone, which allows girls and the Elsa doll to sing together! The playlist, of course, included ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen.
Sing-a-Long Elsa By Jakks Pacific Toy Company
The JAKKS Pacific Toy Company created the technology to produce the Elsa sing-a-long doll, which made a debut at the 2015 D23 expo in Anaheim, California. The sing-a-long Elsa doll has high-tech features like a trigger-technology microphone, which allows everyone and the Elsa doll to sing together with ease.
A Radio Controlled Hulk Is The Star Of The Expo
There weren’t just dolls that had fancy technology at the 2015 D23 expo: a radio controlled Hulk Smash toy was another huge hit for all who attended! The Hulk Smash made its debut at the expo, and was also created by the JAKKS Pacific toy company. Kids at D23 were able to control the Hulk and smash through obstacles with his swinging arms, and the toy has the ability to flip, spin, wheelie and more!
Fans Packed In Tight For D23 Expo
Disney fans of all ages came together at the Anaheim Convention Center in California for the D23 expo in 2015. The opening of the Disney Store attracted thousands, and pictured here, fans rushed to the store to check out all of the fun novelty items, toys and collectables it had to offer.
