Danielle Lauder
Danielle Lauder visits HollywoodLife to discuss her make-up collection ACT IV. Danielle is the great-granddaughter of Estée Lauder and just launched her first seven-item collection for the brand. “It’s for every woman to give themselves that extra touch of glamour to feel beautiful and Estée was someone that was very dedicated to every single detail level of the product,” she told HollywoodLife of ACT IV. “The products were meant to enhance and embellish your already amazing features, versus a lot of coverage or a 50 step contour situation.”
Danielle is also a classically trained actress and is based in Los Angeles.
On Creating Act IV Mood Board
“I was involved every single step of the way. When I was working out of product development at the HQ in New York, they gave me just a giant stack of these trend books and I went through them for days and picked different buttons and fixtures and textures and quotes to create this live mood board that I took to the labs in New York, and LA and Milan to shade match and that’s where all the inspiration started.”
Act IV Collection Products
The limited-edition Act IV collection includes a Spotlight Highlighter that offers the perfect glow for any skintone, a Cinemattic Complexion Liquid, a primer that blurs pores and fills lines, and a Lip Duet Tint + Balm, that is both moisturizing and a pigmented.
On Her Great-Grandmother’s Legacy
“She was someone that said beauty belongs to everyone and that every woman is beautiful, it just takes a little bit of effort. So I was really thinking about that with these products that it’s for every woman to give themselves that extra touch of glamour to feel beautiful and she was someone that was very dedicated to every single detail level of the product.”
On Her Acting Career
“I was in a movie in November, just a very small role. But now I’m just working on producing two different features in progress and mostly I like to do a lot of shorts and I like to be able to have a creative say in anything that I’m in. It’s just really nice.”
On Discovering Her Creative Side
“What I’ve learned from doing this collection and what I just discovered about myself is how much I love to be creatively hands-on and to have a say in how the story is told. So, I’m doing that and doing a lot more producing and writing and collaborating with different people that have been able to act entirely.”
