USA Election Day 2016
The presidential election is one of the highly anticipated events in America. In November of an election year, all American citizens who are registered to vote hit their local voting poll station, and place their vote for the new man (or woman) in the White House. In 2016, the race was between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Clinton, an established politician, activist and wife of former president Bill Clinton, was the democratic candidate. Donald Trump, American business mogul and multi-millionaire, was the Republican candidate. Trump won the election, receiving 304 electoral votes while Clinton fell short with 227.
