And baby makes three! Congratulations to Emma Roberts and her boyfriend Garrett Hedlund, who have reportedly welcomed their first child together, a healthy baby boy.
Prepare your congratulations — actress Emma Roberts has reportedly welcomed her first baby with boyfriend Garrett Hedlund. The 29-year-old Scream Queens actress gave birth to a baby boy named Rhodes in Los Angeles on Dec. 27, sources claimed in a report from TMZ. The baby weighed in at nine pounds, and the report added that “both baby and mama bear are doing great after the delivery.” Garrett, 36, was also reportedly able to attend the birth “in-person” amid the pandemic.
Emma first confirmed she was expecting in an August 29 Instagram post, which showed the American Horror Story star cradling her baby bump in a white bandeau dress. “Me…and my two favorite guys,” she wrote, revealing she was expecting a baby boy! Her post came two months after it was first reported that she had a bun in the oven. The famously private couple stayed mum on the topic, despite being photographed out-and-about amid the coronavirus pandemic, with Emma’s growing baby bump on display.
Her announcement came one year after she and Garrett revealed their couple status! The pair quietly began dating in 2019, after Emma split from her on-again/off-again boyfriend (and fiancé) Evan Peters. Though the new parents have kept their romance on the down-low, they were seen heading to LAX on June 26, in the first public sighting since the pregnancy reports.

On their way to the airport in June, Emma hid her bump in an oversized teddy winter coat and a baggy shirt, despite the sunny California weather. Throughout her pregnancy, she continued the oversized clothing trend: on the Fourth of July weekend, she rocked a large Harley Davidson t-shirt! The Wild Child star paired the look with striped leggings, and an oversized hat. She got even more creative when she went grocery shopping a month later in Los Feliz, and attempted to conceal her stomach by holding a plastic bag full of items in front of her belly.
Closer to her due date, Emma happily showed off her baby bump in pretty maternity dresses (such as the photo above) and even posed as Cosmopolitan‘s first ever pregnant cover star for its Dec. 2020/Jan. 2021 issue. Congratulations to the happy couple on their growing family!
