‘Empire’s sixth and final season will air Sept. 24 on FOX. At the end of last season, Lucious was forced to flee New York City with the feds hot on his trail. In a shocking twist, Cookie refused to go with him and declared that he and Empire were no longer good for her. The sixth season begins with the Lyon family splintered. Lucious is on the run and Cookie is finding success on her own. With Jamal residing in London and Hakeem starring in ‘Empire: The Movie,’ Andre finds himself finally sitting on the Empire throne.
