Velvet isn’t exactly a fabric that lends itself well to getting wet in a swimming pool. But it sure does make for a stylish swimwear look, as Kourtney Kardashian has discovered. The 41-year-old donned a what appeared to be a nude velvet bikini to lounge around her backyard pool in Calabasas, and set the pulses of fans racing with how incredible her body looked in the four photos she shared to Instagram on Nov. 25. But it turned out she was modeling an underwear set from sister Kim Kardashian‘s SKIMS collection!
Kourt’s “bikini top” was actually the SKIMS stretch velvet plunge bra in honey that retails for $42. It features wide straps and a center front hook closure, along with elastic edging enhanced by ruched details. It’s too pretty to wear underneath clothes, so no wonder Kim classified it as a loungewear SKIMS item. Turns out, it’s the perfect bikini top!
The bottom was super tiny. It plunged down quite low, exposing plenty of skin far below her belly button. Tiny strands of fabric stretched high over Kourt’s hips, showing plenty of bare skin for the mother of three to flaunt her amazing tight abs and torso. On Kim’s SKIMS site, the $26 undies are described as a “throwback thong style, designed to be worn high on hips and featuring a flattering dipped front.” Turns out, they’re also incredible bikini bottoms!
Since velvet would get pretty heavy when wet and take awhile to dry, Kourtney simply sat on the edge of her pool while showing off her incredible bikini body. Her legs were submerged in the water, while she wetted down her brunette locks. Kourt accessorized with red framed shades to protect her from the sunny SoCal rays.
Kourt’s fierce swimsuit photos certainly impressed her family members and famous pals. Kendall Jenner, 25, wrote, “ok body,” in the comments while sister Kylie Jenner, 23, added, “yessss.” Friend and model Suki Waterhouse declared, “Pwwwoarrrr,” while Caitlyn Jenner‘s pal Sofia Hutchins wrote, “Bawwwwwdyyyyyyy,” about Kourtney’s photos.
Kourtney’s photos come on the heels of Kylie posting IG photos in a velvet mono-kini. She donned the pale purple number in a Nov. 24 snapshots, telling fans “all good” in the caption. The look showed off Ky’s amazing abs thanks to the front cutout, and her bare hips were on display thanks to the super high cut of the design. It was yet another SKIMS design, as Kylie was modeling the brand’s the stretch velvet cutout bodysuit. Kim’s so fortunate to have sisters with such killer figures to show off her products!
