Iskra Lawrence is a British model and body positivity activist who has been open about her past battle with an eating disorder. Celebrated as a member of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, she is a social media hit who – as of August 2019 – has 4.5 million Instagram followers. Frequently a target of body shaming trolls, the Brit has no problem clapping back at trolls who slam her for proudly wearing bikinis and celebrating her cellulite. “Life’s so much easier when you live it for YOU,” she wrote on Instagram in July 2019. “Not for someone else’s beauty ideal, someone else’s validation, or a socially constructed perfection. Being you and doing you is always enough.”
In addition to modeling, Iskra is a contributor to ‘Self’ magazine and a brand ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). She also is a mentor at the Prince’s Trust – a charitable organization founded by Prince Charles.
