Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney picked the perfect destination for a fall wedding: Newport, Rhode Island. The seaside town is a treasure trove of Gilded Age cottages and mansions, and JLaw picked one of them — the Belcourt of Newport mansion, reportedly — as the venue where she’ll say “I do” to Cooke. Construction on the mansion was completed in 1894, and it even has a rumored haunted past — making this New England gem even more a fitting place to tie the knot, so close to Halloween.
The wedding festivities kicked off with a clam bake on Oct. 18, 2019, with celebrities like Kris Jenner, Adele, Cameron Diaz, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden in attendance. The cozy dinner was held off the coast of Newport on Rose Island, a little plot of land with a lighthouse. The wedding ceremony is expected to take place on Oct. 19.
JLaw has been linked to Cooke, an art gallery director in New York City, since May of 2018. He popped the question by Feb. 2019.
