Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were the funniest power couple in Hollywood. From hilarious social media videos to comical anecdotes about each other, the former spouses were beloved by fans. However, that changed in September 2023 when they announced their sudden split.
“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” Joe and Sophie wrote in a joint statement. “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
Earlier that week, the Jonas Brothers band member filed for divorce from the former Game of Thrones star. In his filing, Joe noted that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
The “Cake by the Ocean” singer and the British actress got married in Las Vegas in May 2019. One month later, they exchanged vows in a formal wedding ceremony in France, surrounded by their families and friends. For four years, the duo gushed over each other in the sweetest ways until they separated.

Sophie revealed in a May 2019 interview with the Sunday Times that she and Joe had briefly split in the past, then quickly reconciled.
“It was the worst day of our lives,” she recalled. “For a second, we both had cold feet, then 24 hours later we were both like, ‘Never mind.'”
‘Hubbs of the Year’
The U.K. native gave the DNCE band member a shout-out by thanking him via Instagram for a Hannah Montana T-Shirt in December 2020.
“Thanks to the hubbs of the year for my early Xmas gift,” Sophie wrote across a selfie on her Instagram Stories.
‘Moods’
While wishing his wife a “happy birthday” in February 2021, Joe shared two pictures of Sophie to Instagram, which included one of her without makeup and relaxing at home.
“You have two moods, and I love them both equally love you @sophiet,” he wrote at the time.
‘Ultimate Dad’
In June 2021, Sophie called Joe the “ultimate dad” in a Father’s Day Instagram tribute after they welcomed their daughter Willa in 2020.
‘Sexy Lil’ British Thang’
For Mother’s Day, Joe shared a photo of Sophie to his Instagram Stories in front of what appeared to be an English souvenir shop.
“Happy Mums Day @sophiet, you sexy lil British thang u!” the “Burnin’ Up” singer wrote across the snapshot in May 2022.
