Get ready to change your push notifications people, cause Kanye West is on Instagram. Yes, you read that correctly. YEEZY IS ON INSTAGRAM. The rapper posted his first photo to the app on Sept. 18 and we were confused, but amazed, by it. See Yeezy's first post after the jump!
Thank Yeezus! Kanye West, 39, is FINALLY on Instagram and we couldn’t be more excited. The rapper shared his first post on Sept. 18 with his 612,000 (and still climbing) followers. It is a simple shot — pictured at the top of this post — that doesn’t show Yeezy, his wife Kim Kardashian, 35 or their kids, 3-year-old North West and nine-month old Saint West. What it does show is someone driving a car during twilight by a slanted building whose exterior wall is covered in windows. The image doesn’t have a caption, which is a little weird for Kanye, who is normally a very opinionated and outspoken person.
Even though we are so excited that Kanye is finally on Instagram, we have to wonder what prompted him to make an account. Especially because earlier this week he announced he got rid of his phone. But, hey, we’re not going to ask questions. Don’t scare Kanye away! But, wait, how is he gonna post pics? Borrow Kim’s phone?

It seems like Kanye might have been considering this move for quite some time, cause back in March he tweeted that he was, “thinking about getting an Instagram, but only on one condition.” So, what was the condition? “no one can ask me or try to tell me what to instagram… It’s my art,” he tweeted. Hey, man, we’re happy with whatever you throw at us! So please, keep those posts coming.
Now we just can’t wait to see what Kanye posts next! Is he going to fill it with selfies and pics of North and Saint like Kim does on hers? Or is he going to post only captionless art. On a separate note, Kanye is not currently following anyone yet, including his wife. Wonder if that’s gonna change, or if that’s an artistic decision of his as well.
