Kehlani At Beautycon
Kehlani is an American singer who got her start in the industry as a teenager in the group Poplyfe. Kehlani had actually always dreamed of being a dancer, but when she was plagued by a knee injury in high school, she switched her focus over to singing. She joined Poplyfe in 2009, and they came in fourth place on ‘America’s Got Talent’ in 2011. Kehlani was the clear standout of the group, and she decided to leave after the run on ‘AGT.’ She spent two years struggling, but eventually released a song on SoundCloud in 2014, which caught the attention of Nick Cannon, who was host of ‘AGT’ at the time Kehlani competed on the show. He helped he land studio time in L.A., and she released her first mixtape in 2014. She has since released more mixtapes and her first studio album in 2017.
