Ben Haggerty AKA Macklemore rose to fame after the release of his chart-topping track “Thrift Shop,” but the rapper has been unstoppable since. While he is known collaborating with producer Ryan Lewis as Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, he also has a bustling solo career. On June 15, 2017, Macklemore released ‘Glorious’ featuring American singer Skylar Grey. The track was featured on his album ‘Gemini,’ which also featured a track with pop songstress Kesha. In 2019, he returned to the scene with a song with boy band Why Don’t We, as well as a collaboration with Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy. Macklemore has been incredibly outspoken on his struggle with addiction. In 2016, Macklemore appeared in Barack Obama’s weekly address to talk about the dangers of addiction to opioids and prescription painkillers.
