‘Mortal Kombat’ is a film based on the wildly popular video game franchise of the same name. The movie was released on April 8 internationally. The film was released in theaters and on HBO Max on HBO Max. ‘Mortal Kombat’ stars Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Tadanobu Asano, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, Chin Han, Joe Taslim, and Hiroyuki Sanada. The film follows MMA fighter Cole Young, a new character created for the film, who is completely unaware of his heritage or why Outworld’s Sorcerer’s Shang Tsung sent Sub-Zero to hunt him down. Cole searches for Sonya Blade in hopes of protecting himself and his family. He eventually finds himself at the temple of Lord Raiden and begins to train with experienced warriors so he can go up against the enemies from the Outworld.
