Ryan and Naya began dating following her romance with Big Sean. The actress dated the rapper for roughly six months before they announced their engagement in October 2013. By April 2014, the two decided to call off their engagement and go their separate ways.
Not long after her split from Sean, Naya began dating Ryan, having crossed paths with the actor on more than one occasion during industry events. Naya had actually dated Ryan four years prior to rekindling their romance. The two quickly fell for one another, and they married on July 19, 2014 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico — the date was the original day Naya was set to marry Sean.
In February 2015, Naya revealed to fans that she was expecting her first child with husband Ryan. The two welcomed their son, Josey Hollis in September 2015. Unfortunately, the couple’s relationship took a turn from there. Naya filed for divorce in November 2016, before redacting the filing in October 2017. Naya was also later charged with domestic battery after an altercation with her husband.
She filed for divorce again in December 2017 and the two officially split in June 2018, once their divorce was finalized. The two were given joint custody of their son.
