Kristen Wiig is a comedian, writer, actress and producer, born August 22, 1973 in Canandaigua, NY. She got her big break when she was cast on ‘Saturday Night Live’ in 2005, and was named a full-time cast member on the show from 2006 until 2012. A turning point in Kristen’s career was the 2011 movie, ‘Bridesmaids,’ which she wrote with Annie Mumolo. Kristen also starred in the movie, which became an extreme box office success.
In addition to ‘Bridesmaids,’ she’s also been in films like ‘Knocked Up,’ ‘Anchorman 2,’ ‘Ghostbusters’ and more. Kristen was nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Screenplay for writing ‘Bridesmaids.’ She’s also been nominated for eight Emmy Awards over the years, six being for ‘SNL,’ and the others for ‘The Looney Tunes Show’ and ‘The Spoils Of Babylon.’
Kristen married longtime partner Avi Rothman in 2020, the same year they welcomed twins via surrogate. She was previously married to Hayes Hargrove from 2005-2009.
