Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge departs Kensington Palace to attend the funeral of Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh at Windsor Castle. She wore a black face mask amid the pandemic.
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral took place at St. George’s Chapel on Apr. 17, 2021. It was conducted by the Dean of Windsor and was attended by a small number of royal family members due to COVID-19. A choir was included and a traditional moment of silence and a Royal Naval Piping Party of one Chief Petty Officer and five Ratings were seen outside at the beginning.
The family members included the prince’s children, including Prince Charles and Princess Anne. A number of his grandchildren also attended, including Prince William and his wife Kate, and Prince Harry. Queen Elizabeth II was seen honoring her husband of over 70 years as well. Like the other attendees, she also wore a black face mask.
Prince Philip died at the age of 99 on Apr. 9, 2021.
