‘Rick & Morty’ is a beloved animated series on Adult Swim. The show started airing in December 2013 and follows the adventures of a cynical mad scientist named Rick Sanchez and his fretful grandson, Morty Smith. Justin Roiland voices both Rick and Morty, and additional voice castmembers include Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer and Sarah Chalke. The series was actually inspired by the ‘Back to the Future’ films, and the characters of Rick and Morty were created as parodies of Doc Brown and Marty McFly, respectively.
‘Rick & Morty’ has built a massive fan base and has stayed very popular since its start. The show has been nominated and won a number of awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award in 2020 for Outstanding Animated Program. The series was created by Justin and Dan Harmon.
