However, in an EXCLUSIVE new report with People Scott admitted that he never told anyone that he wouldn't ever drink again.
Earlier in the week, Scott was partying in Mexico at the home of Joe Francis, where he was said to have been drinking. Then, on March 4 Scott was in Las Vegas hanging out with renowned playboy Johnny Manziel at 1Oak. People managed to snatch a quick chat with him in Las Vegas’ Mirage Hotel.
“The only thing I find unfortunate is that I’m seeing a ton of press saying ‘Scott’s off the wagon and he’s this and he’s that and he’s all these things,’ ” he told PEOPLE exclusively. “The truth is I never lied and said that I was never going to have a beer again. I never said I was never going to have a cigarette again. I never lied and said I was never going to go to the beach again. I never lied and said I was not going to be around my friends and their girlfriends and girls and friends.”
Wow, how frank! Scott is basically saying to everyone that he will continue to drink, albeit moderately, and darn it with the consequences! As a man who has stepped out of rehab, for whatever addictions he may have had, can his behavior trigger a relapse?
Scott also feels that he wasn’t on a “crazy mission of destruction” as was reported and said he was hanging out in Mexico like any 32-year-old single man would do. “I was down there hanging out like any other single 32-year-old guy would be,” he continued, saying that he was there with his male friends and the only images seen show him with girls.
He added, “The truth is I just to live my life and I want to have a little happiness and a little balance. The truth is rehab did help me and now I’m just trying to be responsible. I’m not out here trying to get wasted, but you know what, I will have a beer on the beach. I’m not doing drugs, I’m not doing anything insane, so I think people just need to relax … I just want to try to live my life.”
