Ten years ago, on September 10th, 2009, the pilot for ‘The Vampire Diaries’ premiered on the CW, ushering in a new era for the network. What was initially written off as a knock-off ‘Twilight’, soon became the most-watched series on TV, with it’s devoted fanbase ensuring it’s longevity. The series lasted 8 seasons and gave life to two spin-offs, including ‘Legacies,’ which is entering it’s second season this fall.
