Variety Magazine’s annual celebration ‘Power of Women’ brought together the most beloved female voices in Hollywood on April 4th, honoring those who have made a last impact on the industry over their career. The program, hosted by SNL actress, comedian and writer Ego Nwodim, honored another five incredible women, all who had done great things with their celebrity.
This year’s nominees include beloved author and literary icon Judy Blume; actress, director, writer and producer Natasha Lyonne; veteran talk-show host of Live!, and New York Times best-selling author Kelly Ripa; Academy Award and Emmy-nominated actress Rosie Perez; and the first transgender individual to win a Golden Globe Award actress and singer Michaela Jaé Rodriguez.

Kelly Ripa
Among the honorees at this year’s Power of Women was veteran talk-show host of Live!, and New York Times best-selling author Kelly Ripa, who recently debuted her first memoir of short stories, Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories. Her work with Win, formerly Women In Need, will be highlighted and celebrated
Lea Michele
Lea Michele stunned at the 2023 Power Of Women event hosted by Variey and Lifetime. The star, who is in the middle of her turn as Fanny Brice in the Broadway smash Funny Girl, took the morning off to join female industry heavyweights at the NYC affair.
Natasha Lyonne
She’s done it all: acting, directing, producing Emmy nominated shows, and now, Natasha Lyonne, who’s currently is starring in and executive producing Rian Johnson’s hit Peacock original series, Poker Face, is being honored by the Power of Women event. She will discuss the importance of her work with Lower Eastside Girls Club
Michaela Jae Rodriguez
She’s an actress, she’s a singer, but more importantly Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, the first transgender individual to win a Golden Globe Award and be nominated for an Emmy in a lead category, is a trailblazer. She is among the honorees this year for her support for Rainforest Alliance and the urgent fight for equal rights.
Rosie Perez
She’s been nominated for both an Academy Award and Emmy, but actress Rosie Perez, who currently stars in the Showtime series Your Honor, is being honored by the Power of Women event for her work with the Heart 9/11 corporation.
Andy Cohen
Andy Cohen, fresh off of hosting the fiery reunion of Vanderpump Rules, attended Variety’s 2023 Power Of Women to support his friend and honoree Kelly Ripa.
Sherri Shepherd
“Trust in who you are.” That’s what Sherri Shepherd told Variety she has learned since she started hosting her own talk show this year. Sherri was on hand to honor fellow daytime host, Kelly Ripa, who was being honored this year.
