Three pairs of women were honored at the Women in Film Honors Gala on Oct. 6, 2021. The event, which was previously called Crystal + Lucy Awards, was Women in Film’s first ceremony since 2019, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The ladies who were honored were acknowledged for transforming the entertainment industry “into one that rewards equality.” They were recognized as women who have helped move the industry forward for a more “ideal future.”
Zendaya and her frequent collaborator, Ashley Levinson, were one of the pairs honored. Jean Smart and her ‘Hacks’ co-star, Hannah Einbinder, were also recognized, along with Marlee Matlin and Sian Hader, who is a filmmaker. Before the award ceremony, there was a red carpet, where attendees showed off the gorgeous looks for the night and posed for photos.
