Brian Austin Green “is really moving on now that the divorce has been filed,” a source close to the Beverly Hills, 90210 actor shares EXCLUSIVELY with HollywoodLife. Six months after Brian, 47, and Megan Fox, 34, announced their split, she filed the official divorce papers in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Instead of fighting the divorce and attempting a reconciliation, Brian has come to terms with the breakup. “He’s really doing his best to move forward with his life,” the insider says, “and he’s accepted that the relationship is completely over, as he knows it’s for the best.”

Megan has since moved on to a new romance with Machine Gun Kelly, and Brian has been linked with Tina Louise and Jennifer Flynn. Though these romantic sparks haven’t caught fire how Megan and MGK’s romance has, it proves that Brian is not moping in his heartbreak. Quite the opposite. “[Brian] is trying to date right now and is open to a new relationship,” the source tells HollywoodLife. “He loves a cool, surfer girl since he lives in Malibu. He’s not on the hunt, but he’s open to moving on.”

Brian is also open to joint custody of his and Megan’s three kids – Noah, 8, Bodi, 6, and Journey, 4. Brian, in court documents filed on Nov. 25, requested joint custody of their kids. “He thinks the dynamic isn’t there when it comes to co-parenting the way he wants, and he’s going to fight for what he thinks is right, and that’s shared custody,” the source tells HollywoodLife. Brian also checked the box for “spousal or domestic partner support,” and indicated that this would be paid to both him and Megan. On the other hand, she requested to “terminate” the possibility for her or Brian to receive spousal support in her filings.

“Honestly, I think it’s just about being as positive through all of it as possible and as safe as possible and as productive emotionally as possible and just as present as you can be,” said Brian when discussing co-parenting during a pandemic in an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife. “I think the easy trap to fall into as a parent is trying to make this situation, this year, normal because it’s not and it’s OK for it to A) Not be normal and B) Not be presented as such. This is the normal that we have to deal with right now.”

Brian also gave an update on his family’s holiday plans. “We decorated early. We’ve had Christmas music playing since well before Thanksgiving,” he said. “I’m just trying to have as much holiday magic as possible at the house.”
