Bree took to her website to announce her reaction to the news that Charlie may be ready to announce that he has HIV. “There are speculations circling that one of my ex boyfriends from years ago may have contracted the HIV virus,” says Bree. “They are rumors and I know nothing more than anyone else.” So she, like many of his other past lovers, has been kept in the dark about Charlie’s HIV positive status. But one thing she doesn’t have to worry about is her own status.
“I, myself have been to my gynecologist at least once a year since we split up and have always been tested across the board for everything and have came back clean across the board every time,” says Bree. The former porn star broke up with Charlie in 2011, the same year they began dating, and she’s tested negative every year since. But to prove haters wrong, she took to Twitter to further clear the issue.
It’s unclear if she’s saying it’s stressful because she’s forced to record her O.B.G.Y.N appointment to prove she’s HIV free, or if she’s concerned about the answer, but we admire Bree’s bravery. It’s not shocking that Bree doesn’t have the illness, as she knows a thing or two about protecting herself from sexually transmitted diseases. Bree spent five years of her life as an adult film actress before dating Charlie, so she’s definitely aware of the dangers of unprotected sex. We’re glad that she hasn’t been affected by the disease, and hope Charlie’s other partners are as lucky.
