The epic photo was taken backstage at the 2015 Elle Style Awards, and shows the now-A-list couple standing in a circle with Sam Smith and Ellie Goulding. In the pic, Ellie seems to be whispering something to Tay, as the 26-year-old checks her future boyfriend out. Clearly, he got her seal of approval! The photographer reveals in the caption that he was a firsthand witness to what we already knew — that the “Love Me Like You Do” singer is the one who set the pair up.
After their first meeting, it didn’t take long for things to heat up between Calvin and Taylor. They were caught holding hands at a Brit Awards after-party just one day later. By the end of March 2015, the two were totally out as a couple, and were even photographed grocery shopping together in matching outfits while hanging out in Nashville!

Now, a year later, things are going better than ever for Tayvin. Even though they’ve avoided being seen out together for the most part, Calvin made it clear that the relationship is still on by congratulating Tay after her Grammy win on Feb. 15 — and calling her his “beautiful girlfriend” when he did it. Awwwww!
