The historic day, which saw the official end of Trump’s administration, was celebrated by not only Biden and Harris’ families, but by all Americans ready to celebrate hope. The remarkable day welcomes the first woman, first African and first Asian American to hold the office of Vice President. It also was a joyous day for Joe Biden, who after several decades of service, finally took his seat as the President of the United States.

Many made bold statements with their outfits, choosing new and up-and-coming designers to highlight the diversity and creativity of this great nation.

Michelle Obama

Michelle wore a beautiful purple outfit from Sergio Hudson, a Black designer from South Carolina who also dressed the Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
