The host and musical guests of Saturday Night Live usually do at least one promo together before the big show. Margot, 26, dressed in a glittery red dress, and The Weeknd, 26, decided to make his hair makeover the subject of their SNL promo, and we can’t stop laughing.

When Margot mentions that The Weeknd is the season 42 premiere’s musical guest, Kenan, 38, says to The Weeknd, “Who the hell is this guy?” The Weeknd tries to tell them that he is, in fact, the “I Can’t Feel My Face” singer, but Margot and Kenan still don’t buy it. All because of his new haircut. “No, you’re not,” Margot says. Kenan screams, “This guy is an imposter!” The Weeknd just rolls his eyes.
The Weeknd is known for his signature dreadlocks. For years, he’s piled them high on his head and never changed up his look. He shocked everyone when he revealed he had cut his hair on his new album cover shot on Sept. 21. We have officially entered a new The Weeknd hair era!
The singer is gearing up to release his new album on Nov. 25. He’s already released a hot single titled “Starboy,” giving us a taste of his new music. The Weeknd is definitely going in a different direction in all aspects of his life, and we’re loving it. We can’t wait to see what he sings on SNL. A new song, perhaps? The Saturday Night Live season 42 premiere airs Oct. 1 on NBC.
